Grain
Storage and Handling in Australia CDROM
The
'Grain Storage and Handling in Australia' CDROM has been produced
by CSIRO Entomology from resources made available by the commodity
storage research team within the Division, the Australian Centre
for International Agricultural Research and the Kondinin Group.
The
CDROM provides an overview of grain storage and handling, with particular
reference to the Australian situation. Information on procedures
and storage technologies, however, are generally applicable worldwide.
A comprehensive listing of publications of the former CSIRO Stored
Grain Research Laboratory is also listed.

The
CDROM includes coverage of phosphine and carbon dioxide fumigation
of grain in the ASEAN region in a series of three manuals produced
by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research
(Canberra) in collaboration with the former ASEAN Food Handling
Bureau (Kuala Lumpur). These manuals describe general fumigation
principals and the fumigation of bag-stacks sealed in plastic enclosures.
The
Internet browser is used as a means to access material on the CDROM.
There are a number external links listed where additional information
can be sought. The CDROM has been designed to display at a screen
resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Adobe Reader® will be required
to download the PDF files.
The
CDROM can be purchased from the SGRL for $AU35.00, plus cost of
postage and handling.
